Hi there
Been a while since we spoke. I am still poorly with Meniere's and still have bad days but am keeping going. Anyway it isn't about me, hub has a sore groin/UTI symptoms and the last time he had it he was given trimethoprim.
i have trimethoprim at home and he wants to take some, so just wondered what is the normal dosage, from a google search it looks like 200mg day. He won't go to doc. It is liquid I have.

As for me, yep still the same but I do think the betahistine is keeping it on an even keel (touch wood) although I do have more bad days than good. In two weeks I am flying for the first time since having it and am so nervous about it, in case it sets something off. And I still hate the vertigo and the unknown-ness of it :(
I appreciate all your help though and am pleased you are always there for me to talk to.

creamy....don't get all worked up about flying, as it probably wont stir up your Meniere's at all, in fact many people feel that after flying, they have an extensive period of being symptom free.......make that as you wish.
Remember your have BPPN in one ear and Menieres in your other ear, although that shouldn't complicate the issue. My advice:
Try not to get worked up about the flight.
Take Sudafed spray 20 mins before take off and 20 mins before descent.
Take a double dose of Betahistine on the day of flight.
Have a good time.

Hi creamegg.
I'm not sure what the **** was but sure I agree Sqad ;)
I've had Menieres for many years and have never had a problem flying with it.
Same with my Mum, who has it much more "advanced" than me, she was very worried about flying with it when we had a long flight some years ago and she was fine too.
