I'm going to have my first tattoo on the outside edge of my upper thigh, about where my palm lands if I put my arms at my side. Can anyone tell me in real terms how painfull this is going to be,can you liken it to anything else that I would know so that I'm prepared please

PP ..had to do pre release courses and ints on release for benefits etc..met all manner of crims..a good few murderers...
Probably killed his decent job prospects ;-)
groan!
Unlike Ummm, I know loads of people who have had tattoos removed, and its painful and expensive. But if you are going to have a tattoo, at least it won't be on your face, which is always a mistake.

The son of a friend of mine is having to have a tattoo removed from behind his ear and on his neck, as he wants to join the Navy. The Navy insists that all tattoos visible when wearing a uniform be removed.
That applies to all the armed forces mikey.
Yes Boaty....I have only just found out It seems a little strange, considering that sailors were the ones who usually had tattoos done in the first place !

An old friend of mine in BT, was in the Navy for years, and he had all the usual tattoos.....crown and anchors, etc.
That's right mikey. They got them in foreign parts.
Oner clown I knew in army days had his two stripes tattoo'd on his arms! eejit!
lol Boaty !
If people really do want an unsightly tattoo, why don't they have a henna one ? These fade after time, and you can always have another one if you want.
once had a hena thingy on my hand..the traditional indian wedding thing..took ages to go though !
henna !
Minty....how long do they last ?
that one took around 10 days to go..with scrubbing !
Oh....I thought they lasted longer than that !

But at least you didn't have to resort to lasers !
would have lasted longer without the scrubbng !
For some strange reason I watch Tattoo Fixers on tv, where people go to a pop up shop, with terrible tattoos to have them covered up.

The original tats are usually small, but embarrassing. They'd probably be fairly easily got rid of by laser, but the people have a huge dark tattoo done to cover it up.
The tat artists are very talented, but I'd rather ask them to paint me a nice picture that I could hang on my wall than have something permanently inked on my skin.

lol Minty !

I'm sure it looked like a good idea at the time !

When I was a young boy, I used to buy packs of bubble gum, with that sort-of tattoo inside, that you licked and then pressed on your arm.

These didn't last days, of even many hours, as Mum would march me up to the bathroom, with scrubbing brush and Vim, as soon as I got home !

I also got a clout for buying bubble gum, which I wasn't allowed, so it was a double whammy !
ha ha me too mikey..bazooka joes !
I really dislike seeing Tatoos and am surprised at the people who have them.
