My friends keep telling me that I play with people's feelings. They say this because I want to have an open relationship and also because I do not care who the other person has sex with as long as they don't get STDs and come home to me. Also, I am bisexual if that helps at all.

The only way relationships like that work is if you are open about how you want to operate from the start - otherwise someone may get hurt.
I don't think that you are playing with other peoples feelings if what you want from any relationship is discussed from the outset...with all those who are involved. However problems may well occur if one of your, or indeed you, decide that a more exclusive relationship is what is now wanted. Provided everyone is honest then hopefully no one will get hurt... unless someone is in a relationship where the other person thinks that it is a monogamous one.
It's all very well saying that you want an open relationship, that may work at the moment. However, when someone comes along that you fall head over heels over,THEN someone may get hurt, and it will be you.
You don't say how old you are, but believe me time passes all too quickly, and an open relationship will(in time) result in no relationship. When you get to an age where others have a partner, and you do not, and can't find one any more. This open partner of yours is more than likely to find someone else and not come home to you.Life and relationships are more than just sex, think on that.
