Long sight or short sight? What is your prescription? It is good but of course carries a risk. At 71 one's age related presbyopia is likely to continue to increase and as such would not be suitable. I paid roughly £3000 in 2002 when I was 40 for both eyes with prescriptions of -4.00 -4.25

Better option - intra-ocular lens replacement.
