When is this "High"...before a particular meal or perhaps first thing in the morning.
On the fac of it, I would agree with QOM about a few extra units of Insulin, but i need my answers first.
If you are worried about you 6 monthly checks, then a couple of days of extra Insulin won't fool them as you will have a Hb1Ac which will give an average over the last 3 months. Forgive me if i am missing something here.

I am guessing about what you mean by reducing it fast.........I also presume that 300mgm% is after your meal and remaining so all the night, getting back to normal in the morning.
If that IS the case then cutting down you carbohydrates in your evening meal, stop drinking wine for example and that may do it, but if not then increasing your Insulin if taken in the evening would also bring down your blood sugar.
300mgms is VERY high....is that before OR after your evening meal.
If it is BEFORE then you will need medical help as your whole regime may need changing (you don't say what your toking apart form the Insulin and you dont give us an idea of the dosage)
Can you tell me when an what diabetic drug regime you are taking?

I dont drink alcohol at all, I know the cause, ice cream, chocolate desserts, etc, and yes it can be that high, and the machine is flashing "Keotones"- so I realise it is awful, Trying very hard to resist the sweet stuff, I used to take Metformina, but it makes me have horrendous diarrohea-so doc took me off it, so all I have is the insulin at 10.30 every night, I need to have more willpower and avoid the bad stuff at night, just panicked when I saw the high reading - again - and usually drink huge glass of water.
Well, i don't have to tell you that your diabetes is dangerously out of control and that you need to seek medical advice. We don't know what level your blood sugars are during the rest of the day...are they high?
You certainly need something twice a day..Insulin and or Diamicron as you can't take Metformin.
