Some of you may recall I was asking about high blood pressure last week.

Well I went this morning to have the BP monitor fitted but it was fitted very loosely. I was able to get my cardigan sleeve over it, but when I got home and took my cardy off, the thing came off my arm and pulled the lead out of the machine so it was off my arm for a few minutes while I sorted it out. Will this affect the reading when I go to have it taken off tomorrow?
I've read on here, somewhere, that the machine takes intermittent readings of a 24 hour period, I don't think you've messed it up, but am not a health professional.
If you are concerned, maybe a phone call to the GP?
Instead of worrying about it (and possibly increasing your BP as a consequence) and assuming it is working ok now - leave it alone and when you go to have it removed tomorrow - tell them what happened. If the readings are not sufficiently detailed, my guess is that they may simply ask you to repeat the activity.
Thanks for your answers. I phoned the doctors alba but there was no answer, they close on a Wednesday afternoon. I'm glad your readings were ok patsyann. Will wait to see what happens tomorrow, although I am stressed out about the flaming thing.
