I'm not sure if this question can be asked on here !! but here goes.

I think when a woman wears stockings and suspenders she looks really sexy, my wife will not wear them she says they are old fashioned. I think its a visual thing and most men i ask always say the same, very sexy. what do the women think?

They are more hygienic, but they can be a real pain- the suspenders undo themselves when you stand up and sit down.
They're hard to fasten and draughty, but I like to wear them occasionally, mainly cos I know what reaction they get!
I think your wife may have other reasons as to why she doesn;t want to wear them! Old fashioned they are, but if you asked her to wear them as a...favour, she might??!
I adore wearing stockings and suspenders.  It's not just about the reaction from my boyfriend,  I just prefer them to tights.  Hows about seeing it if you're wife will try hold up stockings?  They're a modern alternative to the suspender belt an quite comfy, hopefully it'll satisfy you both!
I haven't got a problem wearing them for my bloke even though they're not the most comfortable things to wear! The only problem I used to have is feeling too embarassed to dress up for him - I was worried that I'd look stupid. I have a lot more confidence now so things like that don't bother me but maybe it could be a confidence thing for your wife too? x

The obvious appeal to men (other than straightforward visual stimulus) is that there's more to undo, am I right?

I don't find stockings uncomfortable at all, especially as nowadays you can buy underwear with suspenders attached (i.e. no need for a belt). I've never had a problem with them coming undone either.

I tend to also choose hold-ups (such as these: http://www.figleaves.com/uk/product.asp?product_id=LT-OPHU&size=) over stockings, just because then you don't get any bumps under tight clothes. For a 'night in' what's wrong with sussies and stockings though? Hell go the whole way, buy her some stilettos to wear with em as well!

Anything's better than tights. Urgh!!

I hate tights!!!! I think they are the most uncomfortable, restricting things ever made - for me anyway (well apart from liberty bodices)!

I much prefer to wear stockings & suspenders! The only downfall I find, is that the bobbly buttons on them can sometimes show through lined skirts when I sit down. Having said all that, I live in trousers these days!

You men don't know how lucky you are only having to wear pants & trews!

P.S. My husband also prefers stockings & supenders, but then I suspect most men would!
She always wears them when I meet her
I love the stockings and suspenders thing.Especially with long boots. It makes me feel really sexy and the reaction from men is a fantastic bonus!!
My husband was the only one to see me in mine!!!!
I love wearing hold-ups.  I hate wearing tights, and I have very long legs (34" inside leg) and so to get tights to fit is the devil's own job.  If they are long enough, they just keep falling down because they are too wide.  SO I go with hold up's becaue I'm too cack-handed to manage the doer-uppers; and hold-ups generally have really pretty lacey tops.  You can wear them under trousers too inthe winter and that way you can still wear gorgeous shoes, you don't have 3 waist bands on like with tights and you don't have that whole having to hide from your fella when you get undressed at night because you're wearing pop-socks YUCK!  Pop socks are really bad for your legs anyway, poor circulation and all that.
Hear, hear, Mimi!
