Watched the anniversary ceremony from Ypres and very good it was too.
I noticed that a lot of the Belgian soldiers had designer stubble, even Officers and I wonder if this will catch on with the British Army? all the Hollywood role model soldiers have it - along with their bandanas....

I noticed this Belgian Army fashion when I was in Brussels recently - stubble, beards and facial hair of all descriptions.

I wonder if it makes the soldiers (especially reservists) less easy to spot in their communities when off duty?
