Over the last week or so have been having some nasty bouts of wind (some quite wet) though no diahorea (sp?) ... felling generally ok .... but wondering if there is a bug going about....

There is always a bug going around, but it sounds like something you may have eaten? Also it could be stress. IBS is often caused by stress.
