Rash That Doesn’T Fade
15 Answers
Hi all
My 18 year old son has developed a rash on his one arm and down his one side. The rash doesn’t fade when you do the glass test . He has no other symptoms and has had this rash since yesterday morning . He doesn’t live at home but had been keeping me up to date. He’s been well enough to go to work and as I said has no fever , stiffness of the neck, vomiting etc. The rash has not spread .
He had put fake blood on him for a Halloween themed night at work the night before he had the rash . Not sure if it is an adverse reaction or not. Was worried about meningitis.

It's not cheap but much less messy than calamine lotion. I kept it in the fridge when at home so really nice and cooling. I looked it up for a link but it doesn't seem to be very available. They do a cream as well.
It was the Pityriasis Rosea I was thinking of, if not Shingles, it was quite a dramatic rash which didn't fade. I didn't have it in the usual Christmas tree presentation. It was itchy too.
