It is not unheard of for people who are shortsighted to have improved vision during pregnancy, presumably due to their eyes expanding and becomming larger? I'm not an actual opthalmist, but I did experience something similar when I was pregnant. I am long sighted, and my vision worsened during pregnancy and when I was carrying my son, I also went colour blind. The effects were not permanant and my eyes soon returned to normal.
