Got a 'mole'...or something that looks like one... on my abdomen. Had it about 2-3 weeks. Its only small but has been bleeding. Its not itchy or painful but is it worth while bothering my GP with? Not to fond of visiting the doctors unless absolutely necessary.
Thanks.
I'm well aware of getting new skin marks checked because of skin cancer, but this is really small and apart from a bit of bleeding (now got a scab on it) theres nothing to suggest anything serious. Its not itching, painful or anything else.
Bleeding moles and new ones should be checked out by a GP, if only for them to rule out anything sinister, nailit.....If i were you, I'd make an appointment asap, buddy.....probably nothing, but you'll get peace of mind once checked out.
OK, OK,
I get the message, get it checked right?
Seriously tho, I'm not concerned that's its life threatening or serious, was just curious as to what it could be. As I said, no other symptoms of anything serious. Not sick, itchy, painful, etc
Will prob make an appointment next week.
Thanks for replies (and concern) ;-)
I remember (many years ago) our local hospital had an open day where people could go and have their moles looked at by the professionals. It was a really good idea but I guess that sort of thing wouldn't happen these days what with NHS cuts.
