I don't know whether it's normal at 35 weeks' gestation but I'm so fatigued I can barely function. Dr has started me on Ferrous Sulphate 200mg tds for my anaemia but I'm still ridiculously tired.
Just climbing stairs and executing routine activities leave me weak and out of breath.
Is there anything I should be doing to try and help myself or is this normal, and will my energy levels recover post-partum?
Not being an expert on pregnant women, I suppose that many women with a normally progressive pregnancy, can feel fatigued.......
However, you problem seems to be centred around your "anaemia"...what type and what % Hb concentrations ( I would guess, less than 10gms/dl, in which case your oral iron therapy is going to take at least 2 weeks to "kick in".).....and that assumes that you are only iron deficient.
My daughter is 37;weeks and struggles NoM. Plus she has cold and cough. Going to hospital today to have baby measured as they think he is small. If that is the case, may in duce her.. Hope the iron kicks in soon. Take it easy. x
