Mine always broke late- once not at all. They said you needed to stay once they had broken due to risk of infection.
Also if the waters are dark, go straight in.

Thats what I was a little worried about Pixie. Still, she's being well looked after.
Exciting time for you patsy, good luck .
I wish your daughter well, I bet you can't wait for your little one to make an appearance.
Happened to me with No 1 child, the Medical Centre told me to go to the hospital as there was a risk of infection, they kept me there and she was born a couple of days later. Hope all goes well with your daughter.
is she pre-term?

Bednobs, she is due 11th Thursday. She could be spot on with date! Thanks for all your kind words...x
There is a risk of infection when the waters break. I am sure she will be OK.
My waters broke and I didn't feel the first contraction for about 12 hours.

Hospital keeping her in. Might induce her tomorrow.
Have her full waters broken?
This happened to my Daughter Patsy, they wanted her in at 7am the next morning. They induced her, they said there was a risk of infection.
Hope all goes well for your Daughter Patsy x

Thank you mazie.x
At least she is in the best place. Look forward to hearing some good news from you.
Was talking to friend in Australia last week - her son and his partner were expecting a little baby last year. Partner said to her son - I feel this baby is coming. the two of them rushed down to hospital - remember Australia - oh no said the nurses in hospital - you've quite a while yet.

Two of them came home and the girl lay down on the ground and gave birth to a little girl - son delivered his own baby.

There ya go.
I can contribute nothing - my knowledge of the process could be written on the back of a (very small) postage stamp - and even then I'd need to spin it out a bit.

But - my very best wishes - I hope everything goes well for mother and baby
