Why Do I Feel Like The World Is Playing In Fast Forward?

I fell asleep during class a few days ago, and ever since I woke up I've been seeing thing go faster than they normally did, almost as if my eyes are playing the world in fast forward. At first I tried to come up with a reasonable explanation such as my brain pumping me with hormones (adrenaline or whatever) but it's been two days now so I know it's probably phycological. Even though I know it's in my head since I sometimes forget about it and then I no longer see the world in fast forward until I'm reminded of it, it's still feels really weird.

This has never happened to me before and everyone I tell asks if I've been drinking or something, I feel like I'm going crazy.

Probably your awareness has slowed rather than the world speeded up. I'm no expert so I've no idea how long you should monitor the situation first for, but at some point I'd check with a GP were I you, to try to understand why you've changed to an alternative mental state and are experiencing this.
By the way, if you fell asleep in class might it be exhaustion, burning the candle at both ends, not getting the sleep you need. ?
I’ve heard of this happening,as well as the world playing in slo-mo.

Have you taken any stims or downers lately?
