I recently retired so am no longer in a company health scheme, BUPA wrote to me but I have given up trying to contact them to stay in their scheme, they just don't answer the phone! What other companies provide health insurance like BUPA? TIA.

PPP Healthcare. My Company were in their scheme for a few years, but I never had need to use them.

Are you sure you are phoning the right number? I have never had any trouble contacting BUPA about my membership.

Hi Woofgang, tried the number on their letter and another on their website, no joy, this has been going on since February, hence I give up!

We had private insurance until my wife retired from RBS. This was with Norwich Union and I tried to stay with them but the cost was not a viable proposition. We then joined Simply Health with a cash plan. This was about 10 years ago and we have found the plan extremely worthwhile. Might be worth a look.
