Further Blood Test

Hi!

I went to the doctors last week for my bloods to get checked as I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with my little boy (he's 2 now)
The doctors called me today and advised I am to come in for another blood test in 10 days and then make an appointment with the doctor for 2 weeks after to discuss results.
Has anyone had this before? Any idea if it's just last lot were inconclusive?

you probably already know that having GD puts you at high risk for getting type 2 diabetes, perhaps they are just being thorough
