Painful Nose

I have been getting very bad pain in my nose and cheekbone near my nose for about a week now. Its so painful I have been bunging up my nostril with cotton wool so that I don't have to wipe my nose. I have had a runny nose for about two years and hot water inhalations have never helped. could I have a cyst in my sinus?

You could, but that is very unlikely from what you describe.
2 years is a long time to suffer nasal problems, so perhaps a visit to your GP who may well advice X-Rays of your sinuses.
Your post is a little short on information, but your GP will extract important diagnostic data.

Thanks sqad, but it takes so long to get an appointment these days. I suppose I was thinking if someone else had the same problem they might have some remedy for me.

Just an update sqad, I got an emergency appointment first thing today, Dr says its neuralgia and has given me carbamazepine tablets, so hope I can tolerate it, thanks.
