In light of my diabetes and getting ready to think about planning a family I’ve decided to come off my pill to see what my cycle is like as it has been known to be erratic. So I’m hoping that when I get the ok I’ll have an idea how long it will take.
But do I need to see my Gp before to make them aware of my plans etc.
I’ll also need to get stronger pain relief from them so they’ll work it out if I don’t tell them.
Well, you will just have to wait and see, you are certainly not going to get pregnant whilst on the pill. The other factor is that if you get pregnant, then it might well relieve your pain.
I would go off the pill and take any Nsaid e.g Ibuprofen for the pain.
Period pain - like BAD period pain. Recently been put back on Ponstan (it helped, for how long is anyone’s guess).
I’m not ready to get pregnant yet though Sqad. I’m still outside my target A1c. But I’m making progress, I just wanted to make them aware that I was doing so as I didn’t order Folic acid and they did me a script anyways (I discovered I had some to see me through) I don’t want them taking the same liberty with my pill.
The pain in my groin mentioned in the post Mamya mentioned has turned out to be muscular (so they say) it hasn’t (touch wood) bothered me for some time now so here’s hoping it’s ventured to pastures new.
I know I’m jumping the gun a littl but my cycles started 21-50 days then settled in 28 when I had tried pills before but last two times I was really irregular so I want to start monitoring things so I’m ready.
