My ice and I are both on State Pensions.
Mine is considerably more than hers. (We pool it.)
If I die first, will my wife get any of my state pension, or will it die with me?
I worry sick about her having enough to live on.

Wife not ice!
I believe it will die with you but she may get income support.
My late husband and myself were in the same situation as yourself, my pension being considerably lower than his. I was also worried that I would only get my pension when he died but fortunately it was made up and now I receive the normal state pension
Ring the pension department and ask them how much she will get. they will inform you by letter, having looked into it.

My eighty four year old friend did this recently.
//Depending on when you reached or will reach your State Pension age, when you die, some of your State Pension entitlements may pass to your widow, widower or surviving civil partner.
If you die, your widowed husband, wife or civil partner may also be able to claim bereavement benefits.//

Complicated Theland. Best check with the pension wonks at HQ.

And stop worrying for "you know who's sake" . (^_*)

Many thanks ABers. X
From the Gov site.
If your spouse or civil partner reached State Pension age before 6 April 2016, they should contact the Pension Service when you die to check what they can claim.

They may be able to increase their basic State Pension by using your qualifying years if they do not already get the full amount.
