Best Way Lose Weight

i gained 6kilo in 4 months, drinking beer mostly, i might go onto salads and soups everyday, cut out all sugars, is this the right way, im guessing sugar is the biggest culprit for weight gain ?

or a hi protein diet

Give up the booze, eat smaller portions and exercise more.
Any "empty" calories should be ditched.....beer, for starters (that's NOT beer as a starter!).

Best of luck with hat question pumpjack, although i would have thought that it would have been better in Weight Loss and Dieting, although i have to warn you that it is not a sub-section for the faint hearted, as they do not take prisoners of the doubters.
Give up beer. Find a different drink. It's not called a beer belly for no reason.

Find a drink that is sipped rather than gulped.

Does beer make you hungry? Are you the type who'll get a kebab on the way home from the pub?

yes im giving up the beer, ive allways been good with my weight as i do not eat big but recently started drinking guiness, maybe 8 pints everyday
8 pints a day. Of Guinness.

That’s the equivalent on a bottle of spirits a day.

Stop drinking and you could probably eat all you like.
Eight pints every day you must be humongous. Good on you though giving up beer a huge sugar content wiped out. As suggested move more eat a little less... I'm not one for diets full stop... they've never worked for anyone I know that goes on one. Don't give up though a slight change in lifestyle subtle little things will see you far better than any crash diet.. etc... Good Luck.
Admire your taste but a pint of Guiness is a meal in it's self for me. :-)
Yeah exactly what you're planning on doing will get your weight down and you won't feel hungry. If you can switch to water the weight will literally drop off.

Drink less beer, no sugar or less sugar. No pastries and cut down on bread. Keep active. Good luck.
I'll always recommend cutting carbs. Have meals made up of meat (steak, mince, chops...beef, lamb, pork), poultry (chicken thighs, duck legs, turkey mince), fish (salmon, sardines, cod, haddock, tuna, prawns)...green leafy veg (spinach, cabbage, broccoli, cauli, salad leaves, peppers, basically all above ground veggies. Root veg and very sweet fruits are like eating sugar. That's what they convert to in your body...as do pasta, rice, cakes, bread, etc. Eat berries instead.
Eggs are your friends...have them any way you like them. A three egg cheese omelette can be very filling. Dont eat fat free...the body and brain need some! Have butter with your veg, cook with olive oil, eat the fat on your meat. Don't eat smaller portions. Instead eat until you are satisfied. Dont go hungry! It doesnt work. Keep active...even if it's just a bit of extra walking.

Double-checking on alcohol units, your 8 pints is actually about 24 units, and a bottle of vodka is about 32...

So at about 170 units a week, you’re an alcoholic! No question.

Forget all the dietary advice, just stop drinking. You will lose weight, and feel loads better, and almost certainly live longer.
Either that or give up and settle down with an ugly fat woman..
Now you know why Guinness is called a Stout ;-)
