im having my tooth out next wednesday (arrrgghh) its the abck 1 at the top is this more painful than having 1 out at the front or side as its a wisdom

ohhh poor you, I cant give you any advice as all my teeth (well not ALL of them) were taken out when gas used to be used. But take some Bach Resue Remedy before you go and it may help calm you down. Good luck.

keira - Whether you are asleep or awake, I really can't imagine you will be in that much pain afterwards - but I'm sure your dentist will prescibe painkillers for you just in case though.

All I can tell you is my own experience, all four out, numerous painkilling injections and didn't feel a thing including the dodgy ones which hadn't erupted properly.

I had an extraction since that wasn't too bad either, but not a squeak from the wisdom teeth so it is possible.

Never felt a thing and the one I had removed had not really broken the skin.It was in effect the runt of the litter!

I strangely had a tooth out this week, back left top wisdom tooth. had the whole thing done under local, it popped out inside 30 seconds and was utterly painless!

This was the first piece of dentristry I have ever had, I don't even have a filling. It went so well, I am now going back to have the other three wisdom teeth out to make brushing easier and because they are very irritating and a bit impacted. Dentist said bottom ones can be a bit unpredictable, but with pain relief like he gave me, frankly, if I'd had had him delivery my baby, I would have been a happy bunny.

(P.S. he is a very young, very fit dentist, don't know if that made a difference or not? ;-)
