How do hard vitamin tablets such as glucosamine dissolve in the body?

It's probably the effect of the hydrochloric acid in the stomach:

Glucosamine sulphate tablets are coated in a glazing agent, which is broken down by gastric juices, but you'll be wasting your money anyway:

I'm more impressed that a huge three course meal "disappears" in the stomach, rather than a few pills!

How about Omega 3 Fish Oil for arthritis?? Any better??
Why would you want arthritis ?
Simply eat two portions of fish per week, with one of them being an oily fish. (Sardines, mackerel, trout, salmon, tuna, etc):
