I have ocd and would like a realistic answer please. My mental health about sickness is very bad. A boy came into class late at 2 in the afternoon from the physically vomiting this morning. He sits opposite me with two computers blocking us. I faced away from him when I found he was sick. Can I still get sick even if I faced away from him?

Highly unlikely without any close contact or sharing utensils etc.
Depends upon what disease that caused the sickness is affecting your friend.
You post is very sketchy as my answer must be and that is it is very unlikely given the circumstances that there would be any transmission of disease causing organism to your good self.
What is stomach flu?
Gastric Flu?
I guess it's a general name given these days to S&D illnesses like Norovirus, winter vomiting etc. It's touching infected things like door handles or food or anything that can then get in your mouth that's most likely to give it to you. You can also breathe it in from the air if really close to someone who has just vomited (by using the bathroom straight after them for example). I'm sure you took the main precaution by washing hands regularly and I reckon your risk is low.
I do sympathise, I freak when a sickness bug is going round work.
better to get most recent strain of whats going around, suffer it and let your body generate antibodies against it.
or if you are vulnerable get flu jab from doctor.
flu vac doesn't protect against noro
very very unlikely to get the infection
woof ok didnt realise we were talking about noro, but should only last for a couple of take on as much fluid as you can.

Suzannah, you'll be fine. Don't worry.
I think the confusion lies in calling it stomach flu when it's nothing to do with influenza.
Never heard of stomach flu!!
I've heard of it...but I'm a 'foreigner ;)
According to Google, it's the same as gastroenteritis.
Yes, it is, Pasta.
Seems everyone with an upset claims it's flu, these days.
'Tis very influential, is flu.
