Beecham Powder

Can beecham powders be took if you're type 2 diabetic?
I've googled, and it says see your doctor, i rang the doc's and can't even get a phone appointment for 11 days so i asked the pharmacist and she told me to ask the doc.
I'm asking for my mum, she hasn't got high blood pressure and beecham powder worked for her many years ago, shes just apprehensive because of her diabetes.
