Verruca Problem

One of my other sons has just txt me to say that he is in agony with a verruca, which he has had for months. He’s been to his doctor but his doctor said they don’t deal with verrucas(??) which I’m completely baffled about. He’s been to chemist and tried over the counter remedies but nothing is working. Any ideas??

Duct Tape is the answer. Cut a piece the size of the verruca and stick it on for a week. Take it off and if the verruca does not come off with the tape, then stick another piece on for a week.

What sqad says sounds horrific, but it works a charm.

I had a verruca when i was very small. I'm a bit of a picker though.. Like i love picking scabs etc..

As i picked at this verruca, yes it hurt but in a odd nice way, like picking a scab the whole thing came off root and all. It was like a wart, with a solid white hard root going into my foot. The whole thing came out, and there was no blood. Never got one again. Very odd i know, but maybe try pick it off?

It's important to know, my verruca was dead, as there was no blood flow to it. I imagine if the verruca is alive, it will hurt and bleed more.

Verucca can be male or female so be careful when picking and the virus can spread!

According to the medical officer that dealt with my 15 verrucca there are male and female, but I will leave your post now smow as my information is wrong apparently

The male/female thing may be right el Spatho, that's why sometimes it's just there and other times can be a nagging pain.

I suspect it might be the same as male and female hardware....if it sticks out its male, if in goes inwards, its female. Certainly viruses don'y seem to have gender as such and it doesn't take two verrucas to make little veruccas

Correct but some can multiply and I was told those were classed as female woof.

If verrucas differentiated then the NHS would clarify what was what, and in affect, meant what.

My granddaughter had one and this is the advice she was given and it worked. Every night rub with an emery board until it bleeds. One night apply tea tree oil, the next night cover with duct tape, the third night apply inside of banana skin. It is time consuming but it worked took about 3 weeks!!

I don’t know it was 30 years ago, the treatment was horrific too, injection into each verrucca and then burned with a tool similar to a soldering iron!
