Scientific research or helping those in need, both worthy goals.

I'd rather do neither until i'm old.

If i'm young and opt for this, say i got in a car crash, they'd have my organs out before my family could say goodbye.

But i'd rather save a life than help science.

My understanding is that organ donation is only viable if you die in hospital. If eg in a car accident, the organs will have deteriorated too much before they can be harvested to be of any use. Maybe someone would have more info on this. Not too sure about donating your body to science, but a friend of mine had their body rejected when she died because she was riddled with cancer - her husband had to quickly make funeral arrangements.
