Does anyone know of a really good hair thickener which doesn't make your hair sticky. I have short hair but it is very fine and when I wash it it tends to flop unless I use lots of hair spray. My daughter bought me a thickener by Redken which is very good and I know she paid a lot of money for but when I use it its very difficult to blow wave as the brush sticks in your hair. Thanks.

Hi , Pantene do a very good hair thickening spray. very nice smell too. You spray it onto damp hair and then style as usual and i think you can even spray onto dry hair to give it a lift.

Linda51 defo trust the Donovan2005. She's got a great barnet.

My best friend has very fine short hair & stopped using conditioner long ago, as it made it look worse & very flat! It looks so much better since she's stopped using it, so maybe this might help with your problem Linda. Good luck.

I on the other hand, have very thick hair which drives me nuts & takes ages to dry - you can't win!

Try mousse when blowdrying it. Hold your head upside down and work your fingers through your hair to give it extra body.

I have fine hair and it is annoying. You make it look nice then go outside for a walk then you look like its never been combed. I have longer hair though which doesn't help. I can't say I ever blowdry my hair only when I am in a hurry. I had short hair once and remember being told by the hairdesser to use mousse to give it body. I used to get it spiky and it suited me but I got bored and grew it long.

There are a lof of shampoos that claim to thicken your hair but they don't work, I have tried quite a few. We are made with finer hair and you can't change that. I recently saw a light conditioner, it said it would not be heavy like normal conditioners. I am going to get some when I finish my big bottle of normal conditioner if I spot it again. Sod's law I will spend 10 minutes looking for it and not see it again. I should of bought it when I spotted it a couple of weeks back.
