For the last 3 weeks my right knee when bending clonks/ cracks, if I put my hand on my knee when bending I can feel the bone jump. I don't have any pain or swelling and it don't affect my walking. Have you experienced such. Thanks.
If it is painless and your knee is not swollen, then it is no big deal and doesn't require a visit to your GP.
As you get older, small tears of the cartilage or lack of smoothness causes the noise that you hear.....as the post above indicates....crepitus.
Cheers sqad, did think it was an age problem, If I put pressure on the back of my leg, just above the knee and then bend it don't happen at all, or sit well back in a chair.
