Hi there
I was walking through my local shopping centre when all of a sudden I slipped and went flying. I had slipped on a piece of meat that had from a pie. My right hand and elbow took the most of it with pretty colourful bruising now thanks to blood thinners.Weird thing is my neck is horrendously painful when I lie down. Ok when sitting up or standing up not sure why it would be sore as I never got it when I fell I think I will take a diazepam to relax the muscles I took 2 cocodamol 1 hour ago not much help. Just wanted to ask why my neck would be sore I will be posting a question in the law section later on

Whiplash.
When we fall we tense up and of course we concentrate on te arts we land on - but so much gets thrown out of line.

Treat it as you are doing and trying sleeping propped up;

gordie......your arm is attached to your body with muscles in your neck and back and when you fall on your arm, outstretched or otherwise then your upper neck muscles also are affected, particularly as you are on blood thinners which would make you bruise into the muscle tissues more easily.
An obvious possibility:

I'll try to pre-empt your law question as well:
The supermarket are only liable if there was negligence on their part:

If they knew there was a slip hazard, and did nothing about it, they're liable.

If they didn't know that there was a slip hazard but they should have been aware of it anyway (e.g. by ensuring that staff kept an eye out for such things), they're liable.

However if there was no way that they could have been aware of the hazard (e.g. because the piece of meat had only just fallen to the floor and nobody had had any time to respond to it), they're not liable. (The only exception might be if you could show that they were negligent in the way that they wrapped the pie).
the neck bone's connected to the shoulder bone, the shoulder bone's connected to the arm bone, the arm bone's connected to the elbow bone, now hear the word of the Lord.

Or in this case hear the word of Sqad, who's closely related.
jno///you better believe it...LOL

2 people in the centre who picked me up after I fell told me that another woman had slipped on it before I did and I could not see any cleaners or security staff I had to go and find one to report it. I am wondering if I will need a collar for whiplash
geordie, geodie........what you have described in your OP is certainly not typical of a whiplash injury, so please don't get ahead of yourself.
It's not the staffs fault if she didn't report it.
Just go easy on it and try to forget about it - it will get better as the human body is capable of wonderful things.
