have you asked a GP for advice, get him a sleeping mask, it;s somewhat extreme but works so i am told

google sleep masks for snorers, there are any number of types out there. But i would start with a GP appointment.
who can ascertain his problem...

He has an appointment but not until the new year it's getting some relief in the meantime. Earplugs don't work

Trust me, separate bedrooms ,ear plugs and I still couldn't sleep when I was with Redman. There may come a time when you would sell your soul for one more sleepless night. Until then try the super effective earplugs from snore store and sharpen your toenails.

Is ON overweight because that is a big factor in snoring.

Multifactorial problem.Could be many reasons at different levels of the upper respiratory tract.
See you GP for an E.N.T referral and then if any doubt to a Sleep Clinic....if available.

Separate bedrooms is the only answer. Had three weeks of sharing a room whilst away, what bliss it was to come home.

I'm sure the option isn't to just sprout up another bedroom in the house.

1. that does not fix the issue of snoring
2. it's dependant on size of house and no. of bedrooms
3. it will ruin your romantic relationship if there is one.

I think the idea of separated bedrooms is not a good one.

Sometimes separate bedrooms increase romance...believe it or not ;)
Do have your OH see his doctor as snoring is often a sign of sleep apnoea.

A man and wife should share a bed. That's my opinion and if you have a separate one, that is fine.

But if you think LouLou111 wanted people to say "Just don't sleep together" then do you really think they'd be asking for remedies? I doubt it.

It's a cop out answer one that isn't needed.

It might be best to find other ways to prevent snoring, rather than to seek any sort of device.
