Mr Smow is one of those lucky people that can put his head on the pillow and be asleep literally within 2 minutes and stay asleep for 8/10 hours, whereas I suffer from severe insomnia. I just lay there, despite trying everything.
What’s made it worse is that he’s started snoring really badly. He’s always snored slightly but this is off the scale! Does anyone have any tried and tested remedies that help snoring? ( apart from putting a pillow over his face!!)
I’m completely shattered!! #prettyplease

Separate bedrooms are the answer.......
Go and sleep in another room. That is all you can do, or make Mr Smow. Mr.Sam and I have slept in seperate rooms since he started snoring badly ( apparently I do too, but I don't think so :) ) and it's the best. Still adore one another, but need a good night's sleep.

Is that really what you do??
yes that's really what peoplereally do. Why are you so surprised? Separate rooms does not mean you have to give up on your sex life.
Yes it is...or send him to the doctors to see if there is a physical reason for his snoring, in which case it can be treated. I understand there can be problems caused for the snorer by his /her snoring so a visit to the doctor may be a good thing...failing that the separate bedrooms .....but that does not stop datenights and early bedtimes....!!
Has he been tested for sleep apnoea? I have a Cpap machine. Its not possible to snore through it!

Spare rooms it is then for the moment lol.
And no he never ever goes to the doctor - think he’s been once in the 13 years we’ve been together.
It could be worth it? Does he wake up a lot during the night? That's a telling sign of SA.

No he sleeps like a log! He does need to lose a little bit of weight but he’s always been like that so that’s not new.
Get him one of these. Seriously! They work.

Oh I’ll have a look at those- thanks.
Probably not Apnoea then. Maybe invest in some noseclips. They're meant to keep the airwaves open and lesson snoring.
Mr M snores sometimes but I only really notice it when I'm struggling to sleep. Can you look at whats behind your insomnia, other than his snoring of course!
yes smow we have separate rooms if swift hit in the ribs doesn't do the trick.
to stop snoring.
My wife and I have slept in separate bedrooms for at least 15 years - I get a good nights sleep and so does she. No regrets whatsoever.
Night night all !!

Boots sell a device about £30 to fix it.
Mrs Tony reads, I listen to radio.
We have separate rooms as well. I sometimes hear her snoring through two closed doors. I’ve also heard myself snore.
It might be worth trying the nose clips/wideners etc but they won't work if the snoring is caused by the soft palate at the back of the nose/throat which effectively collapses when asleep. Not much you can do about that apart from losing weight and not drinking/smoking.
