Not that many medical staff wear face masks. I had my first chemo treatment last Thursday, surrounded by lots of people with hardly any immunity at all (because they were already on chemotherapy). None of the staff in the day unit were wearing masks and neither were any of the patients.
though the masks are widely considered to be useless against coronavirus they do help in stopping you touching your face, which is recommended but can be quite difficult to implement.
I can’t but help to touch my face I am so good looking,
If it means me getting the virus I might try to stop,
My good looks are a cross that I have had to put up with all my life.
But I still think we could cut down the risk of catching it if we all covered our face, kinda like a burka.
Humm, I wonder how many people who wear a burka contacted the virus.
The masks work a bit for about 15 mins to protect patients from droplets until they become moist . No logic to wearing them unless the patient has zero immunity or for short interventions. Respirator masks protect the wearer against fine partic!es,bacteria and the better ones viruses, and clear plastic face shields are a different thing used for splash protection.
I don't understand why masks are being sold out and yet I can't see much people wearing bit .
I think people must have stocked up but not using bit until last minute.
I still have the V for vendetta mask I wore to meet Dave one day I still remember the look on his face, but then meeting him with a disguise was one of our games.
