Hand Washing!
39 Answers
All this handwashing malarkey is playing havoc with my hands. Yesterday, I had four plasters on my hands to stem the bleeding from the cracks that keep appearing.
I use a very gentle soap and apply hand cream and cotton gloves but they are my hands are still sore and uncomfortable.
Just an observation.

Also, I've used that spray on plaster over the cracks on my knuckles to stop them getting worse.
"TD, how do I stop washing my hands when the advice is to wash your hands?"
Wash your hands 3 times a day. Once in the morning during your morning wash (if you have one).
Once before Lunch time (before you eat).
Then, once before dinner. (Before you eat).
Did you not wash your hands before you were advised to wash your hands? You just need to be sensible, washing hands hourly isn't.

Tilly, this may sound wicked but my nurse suggested this to me, it works, 1 part vinegar to 9 parts water, dip hands in, it will seal the little cuts, it works, she has always had to do this as her hands are forever being washed making house calls. I also put lashings of emolient on at night and wrap my hands in gauze, dump the fllowing morning...TD..if ever I met you, virus or not, I'd be keeping my hands well stuffed in my pockets rather than shake your minging hands... ooh no hand wash after loo
"If you catch it you become a carrier."
We're all going to catch it at some point or another. It's a case of the government trying to slow down cases going tot he NHS due to capacity. This is why we're aiming for a peak in July.
I would not end up in the NHS and yes, some around me might but what can I do? Me washing my hands after shopping won't stop Gregg the OAP catching coronavirus. He needs to was his hands after shopping.
It's a virus not a game of tag!
