B12 Injections
8 Answers
A family member is due one of the above shortly and has today spoken to her GP.
Guide lines are that they’re not going to happen, no matter what reason they’re needed for, which is fair enough.
However, if symptoms of lack of B12 become apparent, GP should be contacted and situation will be reassessed.
Just letting anyone who may be affected, know. Stay safe people.

Suggestion is that even though she doesn’t absorb B12, high doses of oral B12 would be sufficient to keep her healthy as a percentage, maybe 10%, would be absorbed.
She knows it’s not critical, at the moment, but isn’t really terribly happy. We shall see.

I’m not sure how useful B12 tablets would be to be honest. If they did the trick then why the need for injections?
My relative would be happy enough to buy the tablets herself but really isn’t convinced they’d do the job.
I hope you go on ok Jack, it’s quite worrying isn’t it? It seems quite trivial with all that’s going on but as you know it can have quite an impact on a persons health.

I'm taking a back seat as I'm ok, like I said, not 100% but there are much more important issues with C19. I think if you take B12 as the allowance per day suggests then some sort of help I imagine - got no choice but for me to take tablets until GP can see me again. My blood reading for B12 was mega low but since then, it's a lot better so, tablets I shall have. Jackie x
