It might be worth finding the websites of the companies mentioned at the back of this booklet, to see if they've got anything which could help: http:// www. rdash. nhs. uk/ wp- content/ uploads/ 2014/ 02/ DP4519- One- handed- activities- web. pdf (Some of the hints in the booklet itself might also prove useful).

She will find a prop, stand or one of those cushions you see advertised on tv useful for using her kindle. It will hold it at a comfortable angle to alleviate neck pain but keep her hand free for operating it. This could be used on her lap, on a table, tray or in bed

You can buy all sorts of gadgets like one handed peelers, choppers, electric tin openers which are ideal for long term conditions but expensive for short term use. If she has nobody to help her day to day she can buy peeled and ready prepared potatoes and veg, but of course these are more expensive but they are there.
Hopefully she will prepare her clothing before hand. She will need clothes that are easy to pull on, off and toilet. Slip on shoes or easy fastener (should be easy in the summer with sandals).
I strongly recommend a rotating hot brush. My wife swears by hers and no longer uses her hair dryer, straighteners or other gadgets. Very easy to use with one hand and she will carry on using it.
