Why not take a trip to your doctors to get a definitive answer.
Could it be this:
//Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the plantar fascia, a part of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes.
Symptoms of plantar fasciitis include pain around the heel and arch of your foot. It may be worse in the morning.
You can usually help plantar fasciitis with things like rest, ice packs and comfortable shoes. A foot specialist can help if it does not get better.
You're more likely to get plantar fasciitis from exercising on hard surfaces, wearing shoes with poor support or being very overweight.//
My guess is plantar fasciitis. (Lots of ABers have experienced similar problems):

I've had the same thing for the last 6 weeks. I think it's where I've been working from home, so wearing slippers all day. I've invested in a pair of expensive flip flops which are design for this kind of thing and they have been brilliant in alleviating some of the pain.

You have been given by the above ABers the two likely diagnosis......plantar fasciitis and a honey spurr on your heel and from your description, my money would go on Plantar fasciitis.
You do not need any investigations for the diagnosis as it is made on the history i.e. talking to the patient..
Mot easy to cure and a prolonged suffering period is all to common.
Tale Ibuprofen 400 mgms at night and monitor the situation for the next couple of months.
I've had plantar fasciitis and spent six months on crutches - until a friend nagged me incessantly to go to a sports injury specialist. Two visits and £80 later - voila! Sorted.
I had plantar fasciitis too. What fixed it for me was wearing crocs. The basic regular ugly as sin ones and the real thing not cheap copies.
oh and it took weeks not months!
Mine was diagnosed by the hospital as a severe sprain - hence I just hobbled around on crutches waiting for it to heal. Had I gone to the sports injury man sooner it would have saved me a lot of pain - and a lot of inconvenience.
I was in the fortunate position of being abe to diagnose my own....and it was our own Ratter who suggested Crocs.

thankyou to everyone who has assisted in my answer. it looks like i can work out from those replies that since i was furloughed 13 weeks ago ive done a lot of walking on hard surfaces and the symptoms do occur just like the nhs website state.! so.........paracetamol, ice packs and a bit of rest to start with. thankyou all
i think that's why the Crocs help. The soles are just the right blend of firm and resilient
