Incredibly Itchy Face!

For the past few months on and off I’ve had an incredibly itchy face. Mainly just my nose, but partly my cheeks. Itchy to the point that it’s driving me demented and I’m scratching so mad that I’ve actually broken the skin. There is nothing to look at, and I’ve tried antihistamines but no effect.
Sometimes I’m rubbing my face like a lunatic!
Any ideas?? I’ve not changed medications

Do you wear glasses Smow? If so, could it be the metal bits you are allergic to that hold your glasses on your nose?
New moisturiser possibly?
Question Author
No not glasses.and no new moisturiser. It’s driving me mad
No new makeup Smow?
Have you raised it with your doctor when you have contacted them with your other issues?
GPS tend not to like you coming to them with a shopping list of ailments usually preferring you to prioritise. As it's on and off it probably comes low on a list for show and despite the nhs insisting it's open gp appt are still really hard to come by
Question Author
No new make up. And no I haven’t mentioned it to doctor- not seen him since lockdown.
Oh sorry I thought you saw him when you were Ill not long ago. Apologies
Why don’t you have a look again at the suggestions/advice you received - including from sqad - the other times you asked this question?
I get a ridiculously itchy face whenever I'm washing dishes. My hands, which come into contact with the washing up liquid don't react, but my face, which doesn't come into contact with the soapy water, itches like crazy.
Question Author
Toorak I can’t find it. Like it’s really really itchy right this sec.
Suggestions that it could be related to hay fever here:

Sqad suggests neurodermatitis

Why not speak to a pharmacist - they might be able to help? (And easier than getting a gp appointment at the moment)
Not meaning to belittle what must be a horrible problem but on the positive as you seem to have had this twice in the past it must at least go away at some point even if you don't know why.
It could well be stress related as suggested before, certainly something that's longstanding in your history.
Question Author
Thanks Mamya. It’s getting more frequent. Think I will go and speak to chemist tomorrow
When relating the history of your problem to the pharmacist remember to start from scratch.

Will do
