No. I am also not having a flu jab. My immune system did a dive after last years flu jab, after many years of flu jabs with no problems. Still haven't recovered. Have decided not to have any more jabs. My chances of getting covid are very low.
While I would want to do some of my own due diligence, I am not sure that the speed of achievement is relevant. The issue with thalidomide wasn't to do with rushed research, neither was the ignored danger from nicotine. As science learns more about viruses and how they work and as computing power increases, testing can be faster and easier. In vitro testing can be done in much greater bulk. The law on culpability is tighter and companies know that marketing a dangerous vaccine as safe would now cost them billions, in the west at least.
In answer to the OP, nope. I don't do medicines, hostipals, doctors or any such. The vast majority of people don't need them either. They just think they do.

Cant explain why, but I think your bang on Clarion.
Think that the only time that Ive REALLY needed hospital treatment was 37 yrs ago when I had an ingrown toenail sliced off.
All other stuff could have been dealt with differently.
You don't get many dead people saying that
Lol lol thanks folks, yes of course I meant 2020.lol
I wouldnt have the vaccination, but then again I dont feel at risk of catching Covid-19. Nor am I likely to be in a high risk situation. Had I needed to earn my living in a busy high risk situation, I might feel differently, but at the moment I am positively enjoying be able to avoid busy places.
I feel the same as you Maydup. I am quite content now to go on as I am at my age and with my health complications. I too would probably think differently up to 20 years ago. I shall continue to be careful when I am out.
Yes I would and those that refused is their choice but the rest of us should go back to a normal life and there should be no special provision for those that refused.

Actually ff, you don't get many dead saying anything.
No.

I don't get flu vaccine shots, so I see no reason to get a covid one. Besides I'm not really an early adopter type of person; let the others beta test it first, especially a rushed out in months one.
Er, that was my point 10CS.
Yes. To minimise risk of catching it and possibility of death.
After you
Any vaccines should really be tested on Matt first.
havent we had this?
big minority who would SAY no thanks
BUT

what people say and what people do may be disconnected ( voting for thatcher and trump spring to mind)

oh er and yes I would

oh hahahahaha
my neighbour said - example of girlie risk aversion coming up - I wont have covid as I might be the one in 10 000 who DIIIIIEEEEES from it
and I said
there have been 40 000 deaths from covid and if you go into hospital with it the chances of dying are 1 in 5
and she said
I wont have covid vacc as I might be the one in 10 000 who DIIIIIEEEEES from it.....

so I said - yeah OK
It feels a bit different when it's deliberately self-inflicted, I guess.
// Any vaccines should really be tested on Matt first.//
yeah many times
wiv blunt needles too !

you first
yeah in america you can measure the death effect from delay

Practolol was NOT licensed by the Foot Draggers of America ( FDA) because they learned from thalidomide of "others first"
BUT
suppose practolol saved 1% more lives from its use
and there were 500 000 cardiac deaths
then that is 5000 lives now not saved
and one serious side effect avoided

the data is out there
I think people are taking I Am Legend a little too seriously, but in a way it's generous of those people to let me ahead of them in the queue for a vaccine.

If you take the vaccine you help spread the general immunity.
Regardless of how at risk you might be if you caught the disease. So by all means refuse it but also don’t worry about less at-risk people now spreading it to more at-risk people.
