If face coverings are effective at preventing the spread of virus's such as Covid, then should we now expect to see a fall, this winter, of influenza cases?

And busses and stores allow less people in, gloves and contactless payments increase, and theres one way systems everywhere, and blah, blah, blah.

It's common sense to wear them, covid/flu/Sars or whatever Covid 20 comes along with - whether they(masks) have any sustained benefit we shall see but I rather try and be on the right side of the equation then increasing my exposure with no prevention means other than the 2m distancing and washing hands etc.
