Flu Jab..

..tomorrow, apparently we’re the first this year to have it where we live, 9am.
Phone call from pharmacist earlier to tell us turn up 10 minutes early, scan a whatsit thing in their window, with our smart phones, and fill in the questionnaire which will appear so we spend as little time as possible inside having the jab.
Anyone had theirs yet?

Got a letter through from Boots to get it. I have to pay for mine.

Filled out a school form for little Tigs last week. He's getting he nasal spray some time in Oct.

I don't get my flu jab until October.

Had mine last Saturday morning. Just a call from surgery. Had nothing else to do. All was organised well in and out one way system.

Just had an email asking us to book a time, Kate and I get one due to age, all the girls get one due to jobs.

I wonder if your surgery has bothered to work out the chances of contracting the virus by passing somebody else as they enter or leave the building.

Ours tomorrow at the GP surgery. I am confident it will be orderly and safe

my GP has, NJ. I've been in a couple of times during lockdown, and they've got a route in and out where you don't go anywhere near anyone except the staff member treating you.

No doubt it will depend on the layout of the surgery (mine has a back door) but it seems quite plausible.

Those I know of, NJ have. If you are worried about yours discuss it with them or change to a different surgery.

Flu jabs around here will be on Saturdays and Sundays in October, at the local GP's surgery, on a (pre-booked) 'walk through' basis. Many people won't know about it though, as the only publicity I've seen for it has been on a council noticeboard that most people don't bother reading anyway.

I've not decided yet whether to get a jab myself. I've never bothered up until now but, as it could take up to 6 months for my immune system to recover after my final chemo session this coming week, I might possibly go for it this year.

Buenchico, my OH (rather older than you) has been told to have the flu jab but not the shingles jab.
