Has Anyone Ever Embraced Sadness?
50 Answers
Most people strive for a happy life, it's the ultimate goal if you will. However through one reason or another happiness isn't always a given.
Has anyone ever took the decision to just embrace sadness when it arrives and let it stay until such time as it decides to leave?

To me Embracing something means welcoming it -I really don't welcome the overwhelming feeling of sadness and anger when I think of my first husband's death then the death of my father, but you can have a good cry without welcoming those emotions, just accept it , deal with it then remember with affection the times you spent with them.
Does it not depend on the cause of the sadness really?
If you embrace all other emotions - love, happiness, excitement, then sadness and grief also deserve a place.
Much better to reflect on your feelings as part of the healing process and let it takes its time to mend. People who don't do that and just 'pretend' to brush themselves down and carry on with a 'brave face' tend to hold on to bitterness and resentment for longer.
