//Pixie; why do you not want to lie on the floor to play with your granddaughter?//
I do. But I am starting to think twice when I get back up now. She does it much faster than me :-).
My parents got divorced when I was 7, and I got a great stepdad, but gradually lost touch with my dad, who.i adored. I guess nothing is simple, even for children.
pasta... is that where it comes from? way up north? I never knew it was icy, it sounds so sweet and syrupy and warm. My pal Mike Absalom talked about maple syrup in his childhood; wish I'd pumped him a bit more about it.
Gness, the first novel is too rude to share and the second is too much of a beginner's effort to share (and isn't finished). The first is on Amazon, but you'd need to know the title! :-)
//Are you like that now? What happened to change you? //
I got fiddled with as a kid by a school teacher.
unpalatable truth that will probably get deleted..
Gness. Most beginners are not good. Most wannabe pop stars are not good. Most crank diet or 'toxin' people aren't any good.
If you found my first effort we would no longer be friends. My second has to be good, that's why I've been working on it for two years (I'm learning my trade at a late age.)
I had maple trees in Vermont, and an evaporator, 40 litres of icy maple sugar tapped off a tree(s) to make 1 litre of delish concentrate - can't beat it straight out of the shack....
Nailit; in what way did your childhood experience affect you? I have a few memories of slightly weird grown-ups, but that was just part of life, and certainly wasn't traumatic as there was no violence or even graphic interference.
