I'm worried sick over my wife's blood pressure readings 183/82 and in spite of contacting the GP, they have not contacted us.
Her family have a history of heart problems and stroke, and my wife is always feeling unwell with headaches fatigue etc.
She is going to try a different GP practise tomorrow.
Not good enough?
Take it easy, settle down, allocate figure tells us is that BP figure registers at that particular moment in time and it may or may not be representative of your wife's cardiovascular state and risk .
Now........take her BP morning afternoon an night for the next week and if you are still concerned contactvyour GP.
Be careful, you are almost certainly certifiable as anti-British for suggesting the world's best health care system is failing you and your wife. To make amends, sing its praises noon and night and while at it stand on your front doorstep and clap.
While the continuing headaches, fatigue, etc ought to be investigated, I wouldn't panic too much over a BP reading of 183/82. I occasionally get a systolic reading of over 180 but my BP then drops back after that. The highest BP I've ever recorded is 230/107 but I'm still here!
