Please be patient but :
1. Have any of you received either of the vaccines yet?.
2. Which one?
3. Have you had any side effects?
I am so concerned about the side effects but the medical profession seems only to do deal in platitudes and I would like to hear from people who have received vaccination.
I had the Oxford vaccine yesterday (I'm 75) at a centre organised by a few local surgeries. No side-effects so far and the organisation at our local vaccination point was amazing.
Lady J - I'm sorry you are worried. I have had both shots of the first vax. Not the Oxford one. No reaction whatsoever but I don't usually e g with flu jab.
Thank you for your replies. Sorry to be a wimp but I assume I will be offered it fairly soon and I always react badly to any vaccine so was curious to see what reactions others have had.
Will have to talk to gp again about it. Never have the 'flu one as it makes me so ill for a couple of weeks. Fortunately I've not had 'flu either.
Same as Rosie29. Had both jabs and just a sore arm but not so sore as the flu jab.
Think bhg is right - it depends on how good the person giving the jab is. My second one bled a bit.
No side effects and has been a week since my second jab.
If it's any consolation my mum reacts to all sorts of things and she was fine. I think there have only been two reactions in the trials /early implementation. Out of over 2 million you have more chance of being struck by lightening I suspect
Thanks emmie.
Thanks Rowan that is very informative. Obviously I don't want to get Covid19 but neither do I want to end up in hospital through getting a vaccine. Either sounds unpleasant to me.
