Friend of youngest who has been on a ventilator since the day after Boxing Day has now developed pneumonia. Obviously her mother, sister and my youngest are all very upset and anxious and worried.
I realise this i not of real interest here but if some of you could spare her a kind thought that would be appreciated. She is in her mid-forties and normally healthy with a great zest for life. She is also a key worker..

Nothing is fair in life, sadly.
Thoughts are with you, your friend and all concerned

Thank you Gness.

I realise that a lot of people are in this position but when you know the person concerned and how much happiness and energy she normally radiates it comes home even more how horrid this virus is.
It certainly does, LadyJ. We can read of so many and feel deeply for them but when you get a phone call about someone close and then spend day after day waiting for news it really knocks the stuffing out of you. Never for a moment are you not thinking and hoping.

Thanks Arks.
How is the friend of your daughter doing today?
Question Author
Thank you for asking Eve. I haven't spoken to daughter yet today. I don't like to ring her during the day as she works nights and she usually gives me a ring just before she sets off. I also don't like to ring the hospital too often as I consider they have more than enough to do. Always very busy when I have rung.
Very kind of you to ask and I will let you know as soon as I hear from her.
Question Author
Friend and myself share a birthday - many years apart - and looks like she will be in hospital on the day. No fun and high-jinks this year.
Question Author
Friend now encouraged to sit out of bed and walk round bed but still very weak and in need of oxygen occasionally. Welcome improvements.

Please treat this virus seriously. Live your lives and get on with them but Please this is a serious ailment.
Sending kind thoughts and hope that she pulls through. xxxx
