Had my NHS number come for my jab, and to book. Well I can't make my mind up. Why, because its only the UK who have decided to stretch the second dose past three weeks, and Pfizer have not commented on that decision ???

I am still really confused as to how you know you'll be getting the Pfizer vaccination. My understanding was that there are many more doses of the OAZ one, meaning you're more likely to get that. And that one does not have the recommendation of 3 weeks between doses as far as I can remember (I think it's always been 4-12 weeks but am willing to be corrected)

I’m having the Pfizer one.
I asked the lady on the phone did she know or was it down to what’s available on the day and she said no, you’ll be having the Pfizer one.
I’m having mine at a local small hospital which has just started doing vulnerable people, perhaps that’s why. Most people round here are being jabbed at the local sports centre.

The second dose of the Astra Zeneca is three months too. I know someone who has had it.

At last. I'm being jabbed tomorrow morning. Told I will be having the Pfizer.
Hubby had his Monday and only reports a sore arm.

but I think the recommendation has always been up to 12 weeks (3 months) for the OAZ one

Mr T had the OAZ jab yesterday and his paperwork says that the next dose will be 3-12 weeks later.

I’ve been told I’ll be give an appointment for my second jab on Thursday, when I have my first. I didn’t ask how many weeks between jabs so it’ll be interesting to find out.

There all 3-12 weeks with most being close to 12 weeks so as many as possible can get first jab first before they start second jabbing some.

Sherrardk @23.03 Tues. You need to calm down and understand the posts more. First of all I'm not requesting the NHS to spare me any time what so ever, whether it be 30 seconds or more.

Its pretty obvious to most on here, ( all but you) that I am spending my own time looking at the data that's available from the manufactures of the two vaccines, not in any way, or form bothering the NHS, I don't need to, the same daily up dates are becoming available to the public as they are to the NHS, such as the latest good news on the oxford vac. Calm down!

Bednobs. I don't ever recall saying that I knew in advance that I may be having the Pfizer jab, how could I even know that? even less chance of knowing when I haven't even booked my vaccine appointment.

It was you that mentioned Pheizer tho Teacake in your Question? Far more people are getting the Oxford AZ one so your far more likely to get that am not sure why your question focus's on Pheizer??
