Many Outbreaks Of Corona Virus In January Carehomes

I saw a post on Facebook but I verified each picture by googling it. In January there were a lot of corona case deaths in carehomes like a large amount died at once. Seams like they all had the vaccine and then was hit by this new variant. So is it the new deadly variant who killed them or the vaccine. Seams like the new variant came along just in the nic of time.

Personally I think that changing the cellular process in your body is more genetic engineering and should not really be called a vaccine but thats just me.

This reminds me of Logans Run in a way.

You know about the situation in Norway because Norway released it.
You don't know about the UK situation because, for whatever reason, the UK authorities aren't.
I hope the vaccine is safe, you all take it and develop herd immunity.
But the general reaction on here to anybody with something different to say, or ask is disgraceful.

In the beginning I was worried about the vaccine. I was concerned it had been rushed ...I was concerned that it may somehow affect our immune system in general....

But am less concerned now.

If I were younger (I’m 46) I’d poss worry more about long term effects but I figure if (a big if) it does have long term effects I’m getting on anyway.

For me it’s important that I have it (when my time in the vaccine queue eventually comes around) because I believe that without it travel will be nigh on impossible - my family live on another continent and I desp want to see them

If it weren’t for that aspect I’d probably not have the vaccine tbh.

Oh woofy I said in my opinion. Its spoofing the genetic code. If I was doing that to hack a database I would be doing computer engineering of sorts so in my opinion when you are introducing mrna that is supposed have come from the dna code it is indeed genetic engineering to me. But hey its just my opinion.

That's not how any of this works. If it's your opinion that this is genetic engineering, then you may wish to revisit your opinion (and a dictionary).

The only meaningful danger from rushing the vaccine into development was that it would be ineffective, not that it would be dangerous. Vaccine technology is well-advanced enough, and the method tested thoroughly enough, that there were no reasons to expect any excess health risks.

An ineffective vaccine would still be a problem -- the longer we went without a means of combatting this disease, the worse it would be. But it wouldn't be in itself a danger (and, of course, an ineffective vaccine wouldn't be made available for wide distribution, so would anyway not be a danger to the wider public).

I believe that covid exists. It is killing people ... it is bad. But that the powers that be are using this to their (long term) advantage ....

What I wish were happening instead of mass vaccine rollout tho is scientists and governments (world over) do more about encouraging people to keep healthy n boost immunity. Poor Immunity is responsible for so much

I thought that the production of dead viral vaccines was Genetic Engineering.

The sense that OP is using GE is clearly in terms of its effects on the human body. It may be valid elsewhere in the production process, but it's clearly wrong to use it in the sense OP is.

Indeed, general health is important, but that can only go so far, especially in the face of a disease that's new to humanity. The most effective way to boost immunity in the face of a new pathogen is by means of a mass vaccine rollout.

When asked about vaccines against the variants, the scientists say that the existing vaccine can be easily "tweaked",to my simple mind means changing the antigenic structure of the vaccine.
Surely that is Genetic Engineering?
