Can highlites make your hair fall out.

I had red foils put in my hair and I have noticed that all the hairs since falling out are the red ones. Is this just a coincidence or have they damaged my follicles. Or is it that the hair they coloured was about to fall out anyway? My hair is very fine and I cant afford to lose any!

I've had red foils in my hair too and have noticed it seems to be falling out more but then that could be because I'm not washing it every day like I used to... If you're worried about it I'd suggest not having anymore and see if it makes a difference.

I have had bright red and blonde foils put in my hair for over 2 years with no effects like you discribed

Thank you for your answers! Maybe its just my age then! I dont think I will be having anymore put in, although I was pleased with the effect.
