I know I've harped on about not having it, but I do feel a huge sense of relief. The Consultant assured me people in a similar position to me had had the vaccine with no adverse effects. I'm getting the second one in 12 weeks , which seems a long time, but I'm sure they know what they are doing. ;-)
What I did find out though was that most NHS and front-line workers have been offered the Pfizer rather than the AZ. I only got the Pfizer as my Consultant phoned the GP . Locally to us, they are giving the AZ then 12 weeks latere the Pfizer -which again seems very strange. Also apparently the Pfizer vaccine costs the NHS four times more per dose than the AZ.
